Some of the best marijuana quotes to make you smile

You would actually be pretty surprised at the sheer diversity of famound and, some may say, legendary figures who have been rather vocal in their support and sometimes even advocation of cannabis usage. I mean some of these people are downright historical, pivotal figures in American and even global history, so for that reason it seems a tad strange to me that we don’t consider marijuana in more positive terms as a society at whole. Obviously I, and presumably those reading this, view marijuana in a much more favourable light, and for that reason I will get on with this here list of brilliant quotes.
“Why use up the forests which were centuries in the making and the mines which required ages to lay down, if we can get the equivalent of forest and mineral products in the annual growth of the hemp fields?” – Henry Ford
“[it] makes you forget all the bad things that happen to a Negro. It makes you feel wanted, and when you’re with another tea smoker, it makes you feel a special kinship.” - Louis Armstrong
“The illegality of cannabis is outrageous, an impediment to full utilization of a drug which helps produce the serenity and insight, sensitivity and fellowship, so desperately needed in this increasingly mad and dangerous world.” – Carl Sagan
“When I was a kid I inhaled frequently. That was the point.” - Barack Obama
“I think that most small amounts of marijuana have been decriminalized in some places, and should be. We really need a re-examination of our entire policy on imprisonment.” - Bill Clinton
So, there you have it, a veritable supergroup of historical and contemporary characters!
