Can eating mangoes as you smoke get you higher?

If you wanna get the best high possible there a myriad of things you can do to improve the quality of your buzz. Eating mangoes as you smoke is one of them. Here’s why… (warning: Science stuff coming up).

Myrcene, the terpene that gives mangoes their unique smell, is also found in high concentrations in certain strains of cannabis. It is the combination of terpenes with THC and cannabinoids that in effect, distinguish one strain from another. Terpenes are key and they are found in a variety of natural plants and fruits, and when mixed with THC and cannabinoids they can alter the effects of marijuana. This can be achieved in growing, but can be supplemented by direct additional terpenes such as myrcene (and hence mangoes!) 

That’s probably enough Science, but  it is worth noting that those who have experienced increased highs as a result of eating mangoes suggest that the absorption time of THC was cut from 7 seconds to just 4. To achieve the best results it is best to eat a mango 45 minutes before smoking.

Even if it doesn’t work for you, at the very least it will count as one of your five a day and give you some extra vitamins!
