Green House - Super Lemon Haze
* 1st prize HTCC 2008-2009 *
This cannabis seed was the winner of the Cannabis Cup in 2008 (with a landslide of votes) and 2009 at the High Times Cannabis Cup and 2nd place at the Indoor Hydro Cup at the Spannabis 2011 Champions Cup.
Its awards are attributed to a number of its qualities, by its producers, not least of those being its concentrated lemony taste and a background layered with a strong haze. Its intense flavour has been compared with those of the lemon, lime and grapefruit, making up a taste sensation, which is succeeded by an aftertaste that is earthy and musky with hints of black pepper and incense. This gives quite a balanced effect, beginning with an indica quick hit moving gently towards a powerful high, described by its producers as having a "social and creative side".
This additional benefit from this cannabis seed is that it offers an effortless middle ground between the truly great qualities of its parents. The Super Lemon Haze has a flowering time of roughly 60 – 70 days and becomes a Christmas tree shaped plant. They typically grow quite tall, the internodes luckily, are not too far apart and so allows for an easy topping. Additionally, its leaves are typically stiva-like and its bud composition is thick with a high calyx-to-leaf ratio.
Super Lemon Haze is impressive both indoors and outdoors, moreover it reacts well to high-EC hydro systems as well as natural or organic soil setups. When using soil the range of terpens is more developed and bestows a particularly lemony taste. Its THC levels are over 22% which pretty much guarantees a psychedelic time to even the most experience of smokers.
